For some young people today, life can seem like one bad decision followed by another. Each one leading to a set of circumstances worse than the last. These young people are stuck. Trapped with little hope and no easy way out. This was the inspiration for the Catch22 brand book.
Entitled ‘Stuck’, the book places the reader right in the shoes of the young person and puts them face to face with the difficult dilemmas they can face. Throughout the book we explore these real life catch 22s, each time showing how the charity understands the problem and can find a way out.
As the story concludes we reveal the complete Catch22 identity along with their new belief ‘Every young person deserves the chances to get on life, no matter what.’ On the back cover the book ends with the word ‘Unstuck’, to show how the charity breaks the cycle for young people.
Created in collaboration with Beau Nelson, beauty editor, stylist and creative director, I created the branding and packaging of the Beauté brand. Think of him as the Zac Posen of make-up: he’s steeped in New York and LA experience, loaded with the know-how that comes from working counters, shows and shoots for highest end agencies, retailers and clients and deeply familiar with the cutting edge. Nelson takes glamour extremely seriously.
